Boabdil: The Unfortunate: El Zogoybi

Boabdil is a Spanish corruption of the name Abu Abduallah. He was the last king of Nasrid ruler of Granada. He was also called el chico, meaning the little, or el zogoybi, the unfortunate. Zogoybi is the name of the protagonist of the book “The Moors Last Sigh” written by Salman Rushdie. The Moors are Muslims belonging to Spain. Complete name of Boabdil was Abu ‘abd-Allah Muhammad XII. He tried to gain prestige by invading Castile but was defeated and taken prisoner and was freed only in lieu of surrendering Granada to King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Castile. My Mind Still Yearns

Every object here looks dull and drab. Dust seems to be creeping everywhere stealthily, slowly and steadily enveloping every object with layers. It sits on leaves of trees where it becomes so thick that it begins to drizzle when leaves are shaken by the wind. It crosses the windows of houses and sits on chairs, tables, clothes and utensils.There is no escape from it. It is all pervading like God almighty. Human Crops

On the platforms of Victoria Terminus station in Mumbai, in the evening time, human crops sprout, grow and are harvested within minutes. Harvest after harvest is taken away in the trains every 3 minutes. The human crops having assorted type of plants germinate and mature within a wink. The platform field is empty barely for a moment and it seems that it has got some preternatural power of fertilizing and is sending forth bumper harvests and harvests of humans.
