Lonely Albatross

Sky was overcast with dark black clouds. It looked as if thick smoke has risen to skies. It was very gloomy and night was about to fall albeit prematurely. A lonely albatross was flying indolently towards its abode.

Why was it lonely? May be its partner has been snatched by the claws of death or by another albatross. What was it thinking? Was the life worth living alone? What will it do after reaching its home? Sleep alone, Sun will come again, the survival instinct will force it to fly again in search of food. Again in the evening it will fly back. Is there any hope, will it find a companion with whom it shall be happy  and find after all a reason to live. Its life will have certitude, some meaning. It looked to me as a mirror in which i could see myself. God, it is futile to find reason with actions, your canvass of work is unfathomable. Everyone is different from the other. You have created this world and may be many more I don’t know. You created man and woman, love and hate, yin and yang, electron and proton; Osiris and Isis; all in pairs and complements. Each pair is a side of a coin.

You become micro and macro, you are atom, nay you are the machinery inside the atom: protons, electrons and electrons; No still smaller you are quark and leptons, Then where is the complement of albatross? Why have you denied it its partner and destined it to loneliness?

Smell’s Database

For all their lives the dogs are curious and ready to lap up the smells. They never tire of adding and updating records into their smell database. But unlike us who are most clumsy in forgetting and making use of databases, who make the data base only when lots of data lies here and there becoming unmanageable. They on the other hand, make best use of this repertoire. You can always find them smelling, smelling and smelling.

In fact if a dog is not curious about smells, it is quite true that he/she is ill.

Hottest Chilli

Every one had heard about captain Haddock screaming his lungs out when he tasted fiery red chillies laid out to dry in Kathmandu during British Raaj in India.

Wait, that chilly does not stand anywhere in comparison to Bhoot Jolokia the world’s hottest chilli, the baap of all chillies. It grows mainly in Assam and Nagaland. It gets the epithet because it is so hot that even spirits are scared from it.

Guinness book record stands in its name. there are seven varieties growing in Assam. Its hotness stands 1,001,304 Scovile units making it the hottest pimento in the world.

The Scoville scale is a measurement of pungency, the “spicy heat” of chilli peppers. The number of Scoville heat units (SHU) indicates the amount of capsaicin present. Capsaicin is a chemical compound that stimulates chemoreceptor nerve endings in the skin, especially the mucous membranes; pure capsaicin has a Scoville rating of 16,000,000 SHU.

Can’t Make Opinion About Her

I must not form any opinion about her in haste. I should give her fair deal and time. May be, she is testing me and preparing to give me even bigger surprise; to give me what she has not given to others. O my mind, don’t be narrow minded and fidgety. Be at peace and wait for some time, though her behavior till now has been very perplexing, defying all the common logic. It was not expected from her at all, the snub she has given me but at the same time behaving as if nothing has happened. I can say it emphatically that my attitude towards her has been that of help, cooperation and of friendship. Let me wait before forming any definite opinion about her.

Lust and Depression

Lust

What grows in hot and humid weather?. All kinds of vegetation, umpteen varieties of insects, bacteria, skin diseases, laziness, indolence, exhaustion, lizards, snakes, lust and…… lotus-eaters. Girls elope with boys and return like prodigals when the fever of lust subsides to wed and become wives and husbands, to begin the process of procreation, to slip down the mire, groaning under the weight of responsibilities to age prematurely.

Depression

Where does the tree of depression  grow? What does it thrive on? What does it eat and drink?

It thrives on loneliness, on the jealousy, deprivation of sex; insecurity that the ship of destiny is marooned in the high seas.
